One of the greatest and most enjoyable activities for our clients coming to Japan is to have some time and space to feel more “submerged” into Japanese culture.

From our Western views, Japanese life and culture and history are so entirely different. In North America and Europe we have long had extended contact and integration of other cultures – in Europe the proximity of nations to each other permit many exchanges, and the immigration culture of Canada has created what is commonly called a “cultural mosaic”.

But Japan has long existed as an island-nation, and historically rejecting much outside influence, preferring her own sensibilities in terms of how to grow and evolve.

As a result, we find some truly unique and special experiences in Japanese culture through the ages, and often still celebrated today. Tea ceremony, sword-forging, martial arts practice, zen meditations, flower arrangement, Buddhist and Shinto rituals… sometimes with inter-weavings between them, and yet still authentically and uniquely Japanese.

Let’s get some time with you and your people experiencing something new and unique to get a visceral feeling of the culture and how things are done in Japan.
