As a company owner, and in one of my previous companies I had – at one time – 20 full time staff, I know full well what owners hope for in their teams. We want unity and positive communication and teamwork. We want our people to be happy in our company and when times get tough, all pull together through challenges that come. In the end, we hope for a group of people who come through experiences and are cohesive and positive and happy.
One of our very successful activities is taking some time, even just a few hours, in a meditative retreat. There are some options – we can put your people in very authentic and rustic temples. There, they will sit in zen repose and have some stern-yet kind instruction on posture, breathing, and connecting to the universe.
But we also have some “softer zen” experiences that are not so stringent as well. We are well-connected with a marvelous zen retreat that overlooks a valley. Pushed up on stilts that jut out over the expanse, your people will sit on very nice soft and pliant pillow-chairs, dressed in free flowing robes, and have light meditation, calligraphy, light stretches, tea, and talk. The program is adaptable and flexible, and several of our wellness leaders have also been permitted to have their own sessions in this location as well.
We know how successful it is because we see all the smiles of the members when they come out of the zen center – refreshed, relieved, and maybe released from something they needed to leave behind.
Let us know if you would like something like this in your incentive program! This particular program has overnight stay options, Buddhist meal options, and is quite flexible to meet your group’s needs.
